Hydroponic Growing
Hydroponic Nutrients: A, B, and pH

Two Parts, Not One
Hydroponic nutrient comes as Part A and Part B -- concentrated salts that must be kept separate until diluted, or they lock each other out. Mix each into water separately, then combine.
What They Feed
- A carries calcium and most macro-nutrients.
- B carries the rest, including magnesium and trace elements.
- Together they give a complete, balanced diet roots can drink.
pH Ties It Together
Even perfect food is useless if pH is off (target 5.5–6.5) because roots cannot absorb it. Test and adjust weekly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use one bottle?
A:
No -- the two-part split prevents precipitation; use both.
Q: Why did my solution go cloudy?
A:
Usually A and B mixed concentrated; always dilute each first.
Q: Do I need calmag?
A:
Only if your water is very soft; most A/B blends include enough.
Two parts plus pH is the whole secret. Track it in the care schedule tool.
